July 2025
Dear Friends,
Meetings
Since the first of the year I preached in: Ohio, Michigan, Idaho, Pennsylvania, California, Montana, Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, and Alaska. Two of the three meetings in Alaska were in the Arctic.
We had an Eskimo lady saved in the Arctic while with missionary Nick Serino. Another man was saved in our meeting at Bible BC, Fairbanks, AK.
The meetings have been well attended and the Holy Spirit’s work has been evident.
This summer we will be spending quite a bit of time in Texas.
Kathy & I still love being on the road! It is your prayers that keep us going! Thank you so much for your graciousness.
Three New Books
I have finished three new books:
1. A History of Scripture in English
This book catalogs a total of 1,880 translations of some portion of Scripture into English. It is divided into Old English, Middle English, and Modern English. It also highlights the state of Bible translating today. (Did you know there were over 100 NIVs?) Yep. I have every one of them documented.
2. The Witnesses of the New Testament: A Comprehensive Catalog of the Greek Manuscripts of the New Testament
I thought I had been working on this book for 15 years, but then I checked. The first file on it was dated 2007 — eighteen years. I flew to England twice to handle manuscripts at the famed British Library and have accessed some manuscripts I am not permitted to divulge.
This work documents the 5,755 manuscripts that witness to the text of the New Testament. The catalog illuminates what portion of Scripture is contained in each manuscript. It gives details of manuscripts that have never been published before. It gives the dates or approximate dates each was written. It documents the peculiarities of numerous manuscripts. It classifies the text of each witness. It also gives the location where they can be found on planet earth. I even have the names of some of the scribes that copied them.
It has been a difficult and time-consuming endeavor and will be a limited printing.
3. Yet More Fight On! Stories
This is the third volume in the “Fight On!” series. It is hardcover, 300 pages of stories of people who fought on in daunting circumstances.
The first book is at the printer, the second is print-ready, and the third is being proofread right now. If you’re interested in getting any of these, wait about two months then check at:

TVBBI
In May we had our TVBBI graduation. We are dedicated to helping churches as well as missionaries, pastors, and evangelists. Last year we “lost” two faculty members. One took a church as pastor and the other is heading for the mission field.
Right now we have two graduates looking into taking churches in Ohio and Pennsylvania and one as a youth director. We also have guys going out to help pastors this summer through our intern program.
Our students are also keeping the doors open on a church located in a little community about an hour from Boise. Two different students go there and preach every Sunday.
If you are a missionary or a pastor and wish to have some summer help, call me at: 330-685-2578. I can’t guarantee we can help, but we’ll surely try!
Kathy & I
Our physical battles remain, but so does our determination to keep going. Steps are becoming a challenge for my wife. But neither of us has any desire to quit or slow down until conditions force us to.
Never forget, your prayers keep us going! I simply cannot convey the effect your prayers have on our ability to keep going. Kathy and I are so very grateful to all of you who uphold us in your prayers.
Thank you, again!
In Christ’s Service,
Samuel C. Gipp
