Get Right About America!
For some crazy reason Bible believers have made hating their country their favorite pastime. In fact, they have made its “inevitable destruction” into a Bible doctrine. They major on every flaw and righteously decry God’s judgment on this country about twice a week. The real kick is that they are critical of liberals and others who hate America. Are they demanding a monopoly on hatred?
They justify their hatred on several things:
1. “This present evil world…” since the whole world is evil then America is automatically worthy of every bad thing that can happen to it. (Welcome to Islam!) They specialize in collecting data on every sin and shortcoming of the country. Would you do that to someone you loved? Of course not. Then this view is based on hatred of America, not the complainer’s personal hatred for sin.
2. “America has to fall so the Anti-christ can take over.” Hello? Are we supposed to be helping the Anti-christ take over? The response to this question is, “But it’s inevitable!”
These folks say we are in the “last days” and so it is impossible to stop America from becoming an ungodly, vile nation. But what if we’re not in the very “last days.” What if we have 20 or 30 years left? What?! Can’t be! Anyone who claims authoritatively that we can’t be here another thirty years has no authority for it! If someone tells you Gipp’s all wet for saying that, ask them this question, “Thirty years ago did you think we’d be here today?” Ask them if they ever dated the Rapture. Then based on their past ERRORS, dismiss their opinion as unreliable. (Do you like being fooled?)
Do I believe the Rapture could happen at any time? Yep! But I thought the same thing in 1970, ‘71, ‘72, ‘73, ‘74, ‘75, ‘76, ‘77, ‘78 …need I go on? I’m not wrong about what I believe. I’ve simply been wrong about the timing. What if we had risen to fight for America 30 years ago? (If we had, the very person who just told you “We don’t have thirty more years.” would have stopped you by saying, “We don’t have thirty more years.” What? Don’t you get it? THEY’VE BEEN WRONG BEFORE! In fact they’ve been wrong every time they dated the Rapture. (Add them up.) Why would you still believe them. Because you want to. It gives you an excuse to hate America and do nothing to save it. You’ve used a wonderful truth, The Rapture, as an excuse to hide your laziness and cowardice.
3. “I don’t find America in the Bible.” Have you looked? Or did you simply say that because someone else said it and you assumed it must be right? Ever hear of “The Judgment of Nations?” When that happens I’d rather be an American than an Arab. I’d rather have lived in England or America than France or Germany. What? It’s only individuals being judged there? Oh! That must be why God called it the Judgment of the nations. Right? Explain that away!
4. “America started from a rebellion. God is against rebellion.” Try this. God was part of a rebellion! He planned, organized and carried out a rebellion against His own chosen nation, Israel, when He anointed Jereboam to rebel and split the country! Yes, Jereboam later messed up but that certainly wasn’t part of God’s fault or plan. God blessed that rebellion and He blessed ours too!
Based on one, or all, of these lame reasons, Bible believers have made the fall of America a Bible doctrine and anyone who stands for the country a heretic. Call me a heretic based on biblical doctrine, not on your hatred and prejudice against a nation that has done more for God than even Israel did!
Let’s take a quick look at the Past, Present and possibly the Future of this country.
I. America’s Past – This is the only nation that ever chose the God of the Bible at its inception.
George Washington, First President of the United States, said, “It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible.”
John Quincy Adams, Sixth President of the United States, said, “The highest glory of the American Revolution was this: that it connected in one dissoluble bond, the principles of civil government with the principles of Christianity…”
Patrick Henry, Patriot and American Statesman, said “it cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians, not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ.”
The House Judiciary Committee of the United States, declared in 1854, “Had the people during the revolution had any suspicion of an attempt to war against Christianity, that revolution would have been strangled in its cradle…At the time of the adoption of the constitution and its amendments the universal sentiment was that Christianity should be encouraged…That was the religion of the founders of the republic and they expected it to remain the religion of their decedents.”
It was not free enterprise, our natural resources or our form of government that made us great. It was the blessing of God which He bestowed on America for the reasons stated above. Or, as John Adams correctly predicted so long ago, “If we make religion our business, God will make it our blessedness.”
II. America’s Present – This country still does many good things: regardless of our gutless politicians we still stand by Israel. (“But how long?” I know, you just can’t credit America with anything good, can you?)
We are the missionary sending country of the world. I recently heard some America-bashing preacher claim that the USA is now 17th in sending out missionaries. He offered no documentation. He didn’t have to. He was preaching to Bible believers and he knew all he had to do was make any negative statement about America and it would be accepted without question. (Baa! Baa! Baaaad!) No nation has done or is doing what this one is for missions.
The News Mafia is not America. The News Mafia is pro-homosexual. But Americans are not. In the wake of the recent Judgment of three perverted Massachusetts Supreme Court judges, state after state has been voting in strong anti-homosexual legislation. But, you don’t have a brain, you have a TV and your TV news hasn’t reported this as the devastating loss it is to the homosexual lobby so you, unable to think on your own, can’t see it for the victory it is. (Say, “Duh.”)
III. America’s Future – The symbol of America is an Eagle. No, I don’t care what someone else convinced you of from the Bible, it has always been an Eagle and no other animal. Now look at what happens in the middle of the Tribulation when the Anti-christ is about to destroy Israel, “And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.” (Rev. 12:14 ) The United States is going to rescue Israel from the Anti-christ in the Tribulation. What? You say, “Can’t happen.” Prove it from Scripture! You can’t! Unless you’ve already sold yourself to hate America and therefore will allow anyone to twist any Scripture to condemn this nation. Now try thinking! If America is going to rescue Israel then that explains why the Devil wants to destroy America so badly now. So it won’t be there to save Israel. But wait! There is a horrible truth here. Every Christian who has been; condemning America, hoping for her destruction, not fighting for America, not voting, has been helping the DEVIL’S cause!
If America is going to be on Israel’s side politically, we have every right to fight for it to see to it that it is right spiritually, too. (It’s so foreign from what you’ve heard you can’t absorb it, can you?)
This election get out and vote! Don’t say it doesn’t count or doesn’t matter. If lazy, America-hating Christians had voted last election there would have been no question over who won. Work to impeach liberal judges who force their perverted will on you. Vote this November. Battle with your school board. Why don’t you try being a problem for the devil?! You have certainly been helping his cause long enough!
Get right! Get Busy! Don’t let some preacher convince you to do nothing. If we are here 30 years from now (you’ve been wrong before) maybe we can take back some ground for God and actually be salt for Him. Or will you continue to do nothing. That makes you good for…
“I am only one, but I am one. I can’t do everything, but I can do something. And what I can do, I ought to do. And what I ought to do, by the Grace of God, I shall do.” –Edward E. Hale
